Hello,
It was quite a weekend, let me tell you. Canada doesn’t really get a whole lot of expositions with gaming involved, so seeing such great support and such a huge turnout was a really great feeling. The Metro Toronto Convention Centre was packed full of people excited about comics, anime, horror and games, and everyone seemed to get along pretty well. We got a bit of time with a few different companies, but our highlight was an interview with Randy Mosiondz of Cryptic Studios which we’ll be posting tomorrow. He was a really great guy and very open and down to earth about what he and what Cryptic was all about. We also made sure he got Tim Hortons before he left down into the depths of California.
Got a chance to see Gears of War 2, played some games at Nintendo’s booth. Had never tried Boom Blox up to that point, and it sold me pretty much right away. Lots of fun. The Major League Gaming event was certainly something to behold, with a huge amount of people showing up to compete and a broadcast on ESPN.com. We also got a copy of the movie FRAG which is a little about the pitfalls of professional gaming, so look for an article about pro gaming to pop-up within a week.
Too Human is being played for review currently. Co-op will be done shortly, and then we’ll be able to do the full review and hopefully give a bit of insight as to what the game is all about.
Busy weekend. Time to recharge.
