I suppose you’re wondering why I’ve gathered you all here. Well, a long time ago (February 2008) outside a Wendy’s in Toronto, Ontario an idea was formed. This idea was cultivated, pondered and pontificated until it blossomed into an actual thing. That thing was a technology website designed to bring up to the minute news on all the latest gadgets and games that were appearing in North America. It turns out, such a thing already exists! Who knew!
This idea shambled off to a few events to play some video games and soon decided that the new idea was to simply have an outlet for opinions and discussions about news, reviews and all sorts about video games. This idea was much better and became affectionately known as UGTV. With the actual acronym lost to the ages, UGTV went out into the world and spread the word about games, video games and other related things. It was still the brainchild of one man, Ian Howlett, who dragged the idea around and continued on some wild journey. While some guests and friends intermittently popped up, it was still mostly the ramblings of one man. Then that man got engaged and a house, and all of a sudden video gaming time was cut a little short.
Enter the second age, where he gathered the help of Ian Yuan and Tim Latshaw, two intrepid reporters bent on spreading the gospel of gaming and also finding more and more elaborate paraphernalia. The three of them now formed such a powerful force that it could no longer be contained in UGTV and had to move onto the open world of LeftStickRight.

LeftStickRight is a collaboration of three minds: Ian Howlett (Editor), Ian Yuan (Associate Editor) and Tim Latshaw (Associate Editor). Operated out of Toronto, Ontario, we strive to provide a different perspective on news from within the gaming industry and the games themselves.
